No foolin', since we're past the April 1! (And what a crazy day it was for yours truly, between dealing with car repairs and the insane bureaucracy of our SO CALLED Health care system...anyway...)NLF is back again and now on it's regular (or as regular as I can keep it..:-)) Saturday a.m. schedule.
Newbie/Lurker Forum begins after the break!
Remember, you can check out prior forums by clicking on my name, which will lead you to my diaries. Some tips, from time to time, will probably be repeated either by me or by another Kossack-and you know, that's a good thing. Not everyone is around at the same time, and speaking for myself, repeating instructions never hurts...ha....And, I am happy to say that just from questions raised in the initial installments of the NLF I have already picked up a tip or too. Hope you have as well.
Remember, the Forum is for everyone to participate in, but especially to encourage Newbies (new users) and Lurkers (may be new or not so new, watching from the sidelines, but maybe tentative about "participation").
You can ask a question (which we may or may not get answered today, but at least you asked!), Share a piece of information or a timely tip, or simply make that first comment. Not everyone is designed the same, so we're all going to approach things in our own time and space.
I am going to attempt to at least have one helpful thing each week, if nothing else, a joke to make you laugh or some silly anecdote you can relate to. But I will try and find interesting things to add to the Forum.
This week, since some may surf the web more than others, I want to highlight two sites I find both informative and entertaining. The first is The Progressive which features some top notch liberal writings and some connections to other blogs, and on occasion has articles from one of my favorites, Molly Ivins, who I pretend is my wise Aunt Molly...lol.
The other site I want to highlight many of you have probably heard of, but for those who haven't, The Onion is a wealth of topical news, often with a humorist twist. You may laugh enough to bring a tear to your eye, it ain't called The Onion for nothin', ya know.
One more tip: For a list of what is tops on everyone's list at DKOS, check out Jotter's Recommended Diaries List--you may see your own diary on there someday! (Sorry about no link to that one, for some reason the system couldn't find his page).
Ok, are you ready? 5-4-3-2-1....Forum Away Everyone!!!
